Waymarks Celebrates One Year: A Journey of Growth, Learning, and Gratitude

This December, Waymarks marks its one-year anniversary!

And what a year it’s been — filled with opportunities, challenges, and milestones that have shaped my business into what it is today.

When I (re)launched Waymarks, it was a true leap of faith and a chance to merge my love for writing with years of web development experience. Fast forward 12 months, and I couldn’t be more amazed or prouder of what’s been achieved.

Here’s a look back at the journey so far, a celebration of accomplishments, and a peek at what’s ahead.

Reflecting on Year One: By the Numbers

Since January, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with nearly 30 incredible clients. Together, we’ve accomplished some amazing things:

  • Over 120 webpages written or rewritten. (Probably closer to 150, but who’s counting at this point?)
  • 68 case studies crafted to highlight success stories — maybe I’ll break 70 by the end of the year.
  • 50+ emails created as part of campaigns, welcome sequences, nurture flows, and email courses.
  • 25 high-quality articles and blogs, tailored for SEO, print, or unique client needs.

Each project has been a labor of love, helping businesses clarify their messaging and connect with their audiences.

Seeing my clients succeed is the most rewarding part of this journey.

The Lessons Learned

It hasn’t all been smooth sailing, though. Starting and running a business has taught me invaluable lessons:

  1. Trust Your Instincts: From pricing projects to refining processes, I’ve learned to trust my experience and skills more. Confidence in your decisions is key, though it is perfectly acceptable to pivot when needed.
  2. Value Connection: Whether through client relationships, networking, or friendly cocoa chats with fellow entrepreneurs, the journey is worthwhile because of the people. Plus there is so much to learn from others further along the path of entreprenuership.
  3. Take It One Step at a Time: Building a business is like hiking a challenging trail — one step at a time gets you to the summit. It is easy to feel overwhelmed when looking at the big picture, so I have focused on the next most important task or step to move me closer to my goals.

There have been challenges along the way, of course — balancing work and family life, navigating all the business tasks, and learning to prioritize. But each hurdle has made me more resilient and resourceful.

Grateful for Every Step

Waymarks did not reach this one-year milestone alone. I owe so much to the incredible clients and supportive family, friends, and mentors who have all been part of this journey in one way or another.

Your trust, collaboration, and encouragement have been the foundation of Waymarks’ success. Whether you’ve collaborated with me on a project, shared my posts, or cheered me on — thank you.

Looking Ahead: What’s Next for Waymarks

As I step into year two, I’m excited about the road ahead. My goals include:

  • Offering streamlined copy packages, like the VIP Copy Intensive and Copy Refresh, to make it easier for businesses to have a successful 2025.
  • Expanding my monthly retainer services to support more businesses with consistent, high-quality content.
  • Continuing to refine my processes and explore new tools to serve my clients more efficiently.

If you’re looking to polish your website messaging or need help with content creation, now’s the perfect time to start. Let’s set you up for success in the new year.

Join the Celebration!

From December 1-6, I’ll be hosting an anniversary celebration across my social media and email. There’ll be reflections, stories, and a special offer to thank my clients and supporters. Be sure to follow along on LinkedIn and Facebook, and don’t miss the exclusive anniversary offer for email subscribers.

Waymarks has been a dream come true, and I can’t wait to see what the next year holds. Thank you for being part of this journey — here’s to many more milestones together! 🥂
