Website Strategy, Copy, and Design
Your business has grown. Has your website kept up? Let’s update or build a human-first site that works hard for your goals and feels true to your brand.
Stop settling for a site that’s just “good enough.”
If you’re like most small or medium-sized businesses, your website was either:
- DIY’d years ago and now feels outdated
- Built by someone who disappeared after launch
- Or so cobbled together, no one’s sure how to update it
Maybe the design doesn’t reflect your brand anymore. Maybe the copy doesn’t speak to your ideal clients. Maybe the whole thing feels a little… wonky.
That’s where I come in.
I help local businesses build or redesign websites that look sharp, sound like you, and actually help you grow — without needing to juggle a separate designer, developer, copywriter, and SEO person.
Whether you’re refreshing an old site or starting from scratch, I handle the full process: strategy, messaging, design, development, and optimization. One point of contact. Zero dropped balls.

The Waymarks Way

1. Project Kickoff
We start with a strategy call to discuss your goals, your audience, and what’s working (or not) with your current site. I’ll ask questions to understand what your website needs to do.

2. Research & Planning
I’ll dig into your competitors, keywords, analytics (if available), and messaging. I’ll map out the structure and content plan so we’re aligned on direction.

3. Copy & Wireframes
Next, I write your new site content. I’ll blend SEO/AEO strategy with user-focused storytelling to keep things clear, compelling, and conversion-friendly. I’ll provide copy in a wireframe.

4. Feedback & Revisions
You’ll get a chance to review the copy and wireframes/design, ask questions, and request changes. I include 1–2 rounds of revisions depending on the scope, so everything feels just right.

5. Design & Implementation
Once content is approved, I’ll update your existing site or build your new site from the ground up. We’ll make sure everything is tested and mobile-friendly. After final approval, we launch!

6. Support (Optional)
After launch of a new site, you’ll receive information on how to update your site and up to two weeks of post-launch support. Need more? A Website Management plan keeps your site secure, fresh, and in good hands.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a website project take?
It depends on the scope of your project and how quickly feedback and approvals are given.
Most smaller projects take between 2–3 weeks, mid-size projects 3-5 weeks, and larger projects 4-8 weeks.
You will receive an official project timeline after we go through details in the kickoff call.
Do you work on existing websites or only new builds?
Both!
Whether you need a full overhaul or just a refresh of content and layout, I can help. I’ll recommend the best-fit option after reviewing your site and goals.
What platforms do you work with?
I’ve worked with Drupal, WordPress, Webflow, Squarespace, Wix, Odoo, and many lesser known site builders. I’m happy to work with your existing platform or provide recommendations on one that works best for your business and comfort level.
Depending on site complexity and the level of technical work required, there may be an additional fee. (Here’s looking at you, Drupal.)
Are hosting and domain name costs included?
No. Domain name costs and hosting services are not included in my package pricing.
You will need to purchase both on your own, though I can provide guidance on the process.
Remember: web hosting and domain name registration are typically purchased for 1 year and will have to be renewed annually.
Can I update the site myself after it’s launched?
Yes! I build with user-friendliness in mind.
You’ll get a quick post-launch walkthrough so you feel confident making basic edits or posting updates.
For New Site Builds, you’ll also receive a 1-on-1 website training with me.
How soon can you start my project?
It depends on my current workload. Often I can start right away, but sometimes there’s a short waitlist.
To reserve your spot and lock in a start date, a signed contract and paid deposit are required. I’ll always be upfront about timelines so you know exactly what to expect.
How do project payments work?
The full amount is due upfront for projects under $500.
For larger projects, a 50% upfront deposit is required to secure your place in my work schedule. The remaining 50% is due before the redesign is implemented or new site is launched.
For those on tight budgets, a monthly payment option is available. We can discuss your needs during our discovery call.
Ongoing support is billed on the first of each month for the duration of your contract.
Do you offer ongoing site management?
Yes! If you’d like help keeping things updated, secure, and optimized I highly recommended a website management contract.
Options are flexible based on your needs, but it’s a minimum 6-month contract.
Do you offer ongoing content support?
Yes! You can add a personalized content retainer if you’d like help with ongoing content, such as new webpages, weekly or monthly blogs, quarterly case studies, and more.
Options are flexible based on your needs.
